I am a recent graduate of the public history graduate program at Rutgers University. I currently serve as the digital media coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Center for the Humanities, where I wrangle bloggers and tackle our social media platforms.
In the last two years I've created an oral history database using StoriesMatter for the Salem County Historical Society, collected data on school group attendance for the education department at Cleveland's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and I've digitized the Balch Institute Ethnic Images in Advertising Collection at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. I volunteer at the Alice Paul Institute in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey and the Digital Center at HSP.
In my spare time I am often silly and irreverent.

On April 16, 2011, the Salem County Historical Society in New Jersey opens their special exhibit titled, The Farmer Feeds Them All: Reflections of Salem County Farm Life. Salem County, long celebrated for their Colonial history and Quaker roots, now draws attention to their agricultural prowess. The exhibit is part of a larger oral history project that attempts to collect and preserve the Salem Ag experience. The oral histories (on DVD and eventually hard-copy transcripts) will be available in full in the Historical Societies library. For now, the Society has a professionally produced documentary and seven themed vignettes that feature edited versions of the 100+ interviews. One of the best aspects of this project is that while the exhibit opens in April, the Society will continue to collect oral histories and work them into the exhibit whenever possible. At any rate, those stories will be preserved as well!
*I am not an official spokesman for the Historical Society, nor do I have secret insider information. I’m simply an interested party who is VERY excited to see a little rural history in the land of Suburbia.
